Physical Bullying
Physical bullying is any physical attack on a person, such as punching, kicking or pushing. This style of bullying is often done to a victim who is smaller than the bully. It is important to identify the difference between "playing" punching and "intentional" punching. Friends will occasionally punch each other for fun, while bullies will punch to intentionally hurt the victim.
There are multiple ways of which to stop physical bullying; victims could report the bully to a trusted adult, remain calm and stand up to the bully WITHOUT using physical contact, or in the case that there are others observing the situation, have them report the incident.

Verbal Bullying
Verbal bullying occurs when a person uses words to hurt somebody else. A form of verbal bullying is insulting a victim with name-calling. Often the bully won't know that what they were saying was hurting the person, but even so, verbal bullying isn't tollerated, so it is important to avoid using any words that may hurt a person.
Preventing verbal bullying is very similar to preventing verbal bullying. Again, standing up to the bully is imperative, along with having either the victim or the bystander telling someone who can help.

Social bullying involves a group of at least three people purposefully excluding a person from their circle.
In a school situation, there are multiple things that could be done; teachers could observe groups to make sure that no-one is being left out, or raise awareness of regular occurences, and others could notice they are leaving a person out or tell a teacher. If none of this solves the problem, the victim should simply find a new, better group of friends.

Parents should also regularly check their child's messages to make sure there are no inappropriate messages or pictures.
